The Stars Add a Gold and Silver to OMHA Medal Count
Submitted By Kathy Ditto on Mon 04 04, 22
The U13 Stars brought home the Gold Medal at the OMHA Championships this weekend. The Stars defeated York-Simcoe Express 5 - 2 in the final, on their road to the Red Hats.

Our U12 Stars added a Silver Medal, falling 5-4 to the Barrie Jr Colts, in double overtime.

These teams were among 8 Niagara North teams to represent at the OMHAs, bringing home a total of 3 medals: 2 silver and 1 gold.

The U13s went undefeated in the tournament, and secured their spot in the finals with a 9-0 victory in the semis over Halton. It was a total team effort, with 5 Stars finishing in the top 10 points leaders for the weekend.

The U13s move on to the Ontario Hockey Federation Championships next week (April 11-15) in Burlington.

The U12s battled it out through regulation and 2 overtime periods, before falling to the Colts. They qualified for the OMHAs after finishing the regular season in first place in the SCTA.  U12_Silver.jpeg

Congratulations to all of the players, coaches and parents for proudly representing Niagara North!
