Brian Stewart and Ben Lockyer

Niagara North “Future Stars” 2019-2020

Hello Parents and Players

Welcome to the Niagara North Future Stars Program.  Niagara North is thrilled to once again, be able to offer a new and unique opportunity all our “Future Stars”.

The program will be led by Mr. Ben Lockyer, Director of Development for Niagara North and Mr. Brian Stewart.  Both Ben and Brian bring a wealth of hockey playing and coaching experience.

The goal of our program is to allow players to continue to develop their skills both on and off the ice.  With that goal in mind, these young players will be put through a series of hockey fundamentals that are essential in building a well-rounded hockey player.  Ice times are generally at 2:30 pm and take place at Ridley College in St. Catharines, however there are times that vary from this, as well as locations.   Please use the Niagara North website, niagaranorthstars.ca, to access the Future Stars Calendar.  Please watch the calendar carefully.  Currently, there are 28 ice times scheduled with an additional two to be added at a future date.

These dates and times may be subject to change or cancellation due to Ridley Hockey tournament requirements, or City of St. Catharines changes.  We hope any changes are kept to a minimum.  If something does change we will post it immediately on our website.

We ask that for the first session you arrive approximately 45 minutes before the ice time.  At that time, please check in with us at our registration table, where we will assign a jersey to your son or daughter.  The jerseys are yours to keep and need to be worn at each session.

Finally, players are to be in full gear for these sessions and please bring water bottle with them.

If you have any questions please reach out to Ben or Brian at [email protected] or [email protected].

Sincerely

Jim Craig

VP of Hockey Operations
