OMHA Silver for Bantam and Bronze for Minor Peewee
Submitted By pallan on Sun 03 19, 17
Another great OMHA season for Niagara North ended today as we add two more medals to our tally.  The Bantams took defending champion York-Simcoe to the edge and lost 4-2 to earn the Silver Medal!  That brings the 02 medal count to 5, all in the past five years.  The Minor Peewee added a Bronze to their shelf by defeating Southern Tier 4-1.  That makes three medals in a row for the 05's.

Congratulations to Bantam Co-Coaches Paul and Chris, Trainer Brad and all the kids for the continued string of medals for the 02's.  Same congratulations goes out to the 05's and Coaches Stu, Joe and JD for all their efforts.  Both these teams exude a consistency to finish strong that sets the tone for the rest of the Niagara North organization, a testament to coaches and the kids, who do it over and over again.  Well done boys!

Our Midgets were unsuccessful in their bid for a bronze medal losing 5-1 in a difficult game against the Markham Waxers.  A great accomplishment for Coach Chris, his staff and all the kids.  In a 1999-2000 age group, the Midget team was 90% 2000's age kids facing older and more experienced teams.  A job very well done!
