Executive “North Star” Award for Coaching Staff of the Year

This award is presented to a coaching staff that has shown dedication to their team and a commitment to the Niagara North Association.  Collectively, they have demonstrated the ability to tech team skills and develop individual players.  Their team has shown improvement and progress throughout the year.  This is a coaching staff that has worked tirelessly to improve their own coaching skills so that they may enhance the development of their players.  The players have clearly demonstrated respect for this group of coaches and have shown that they enjoyed playing for them through their dedication to team and respect for what they have been taught.

Founders’ Award for Volunteer of the Year

This award will be presented to the individual in our hockey community who best represents dedication to the Niagara North Hockey Association, and serves as a role model for all volunteers. This individual can be part of the general membership, Association’s Executive, or Team Parent Auxiliary.  A strong candidate is someone who volunteers his or her time and has made an outstanding contribution to minor hockey in the Niagara North Association through demonstrated leadership and commitment to the support and/or development of hockey and its volunteers in the hockey community.

President’s Award for Team of the Year

This award is given to the team that exceeded expectations over the course of the season in attitude, conduct and work ethic both on and off the ice.  This team represented their respective centres and the Niagara North Hockey Association in a sportsmanlike and respectful manner at all times.  This is a team that through various means fostered among its members and supporters a general community spirit and an overall sense of involvement and pride in the Niagara North Stars organization.
