Minor Bantams Make Silverstick Semi Final Run
Our Niagara North Minor Bantams (02's) made a great run to the Semi Finals of the International Silverstick Championships in Whitby this past weekend.  The boys went 2 wins and 2 ties in the round robin to secure a wild card berth into the quarter finals where Spencer Smith clinched victory with a goal in double OT over the 5th ranked (USA) Syracuse Nationals.  The semi final was a thrilling 5-4 loss to the 2nd ranked (USA) ISS Kings, who won the championship over Toronto Jr Canadiens 5-1.  A great run by all accounts against all the big dogs by our "Hometown Hockey" Niagara North Minor Bantams!  Congrats to Andrew Kilcar his staff and all the players for the  fantastic effort!
