Minor Atoms win OMHA Championship
The 04's went back to back in winning their second OMHA title in two years.
"Winning one OMHA Championship Title is impressive, but winning two is simply incredible. The 2004 Minor Atom Niagara North Stars were proud to host the 2013-2014 OMHA Provincial Championships in St. Catharines this weekend. Coming off an impressive 5-0-1 SCTA weekend, in which they allowed only 1 goal, the team was a favourite to win the tournament for a 2nd year in a row. They didn't disappoint, winning the title with a 4-1 Championship Game win vs the Clarington Toros. In true team fashion they accepted and hoisted the cup together at Seymour Hannah on Sunday afternoon. The coaching staff led by Dan Zadorozy could not be more proud of the true team effort delivered by every player. The boys took their team motto of 'One for All, All for One" to heart this weekend in order to ensure that they "Owned the Moment" at their rink. The win completed a perfect season with a 30-2-8 league championship record, a 5-0-1 SCTA Championship weekend and a 4-1-0 OMHA Championship Weekend to claim all 3 titles this year. All of you have made Niagara North proud.
